There can be confusion between Professional Indemnity and Public Liability.
Public Liability covers the possibility of a client tripping up on your carpet, or injury, death or damage to property or possessions, which has resulted from the business’s activities.
Professional Indemnity is needed if you provide advice or technical information or design. There is a potential for a client to complain because the advice was not, necessarily, followed. This can result in lengthy and expensive litigation.
Our job at Seaway is to make sure that you understand what is and what is not covered.
